About Me

Hi, I’m William — but feel free to call me Willy.

I qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Architectural Technology and worked as an Architectural Technologist for over 15 years before moving into BIM Information Management. Since 2015, I’ve been working with BIM and digital construction workflows, and in 2023 I stepped into my current role as a BIM Manager.

I am also BRE ISO 19650-2 certified, reflecting my commitment to delivering best-practice, standards-driven information management across the built environment.

I started this blog to share insights, resources, and lessons learned from my journey in architecture, BIM, and information management. My goal is to provide practical content that helps professionals and organizations get more value from their data, processes, and digital tools.

But this blog isn’t only about BIM. I also write about:

Investing strategies I’ve explored and refined

Reflections on balancing a demanding professional role with life as a husband, dad, and dog owner

At its heart, this blog is about sharing knowledge, sparking ideas, and connecting with others who are curious about how we can work smarter in construction, technology, and everyday life.

Thanks for stopping by — I hope you’ll find something here that both informs and inspires.
